From AED 145 in Al Quoz 3 — one dog at a time, de-shedding instead of shave-downs, and a licensed veterinary team a few steps away.
Looking for dog grooming in Dubai that treats the coat as part of your dog's health? At Petbook in Al Quoz 3, dogs are groomed inside a working clinic — part of our wider pet grooming service — so a hot spot or a tick found mid-groom is seen by a vet the same visit.
Sessions start from AED 145, one dog at a time — no cages, no queue of barking dogs, no rushed clippers. Vet-approved shampoos and a quote before we start: see where a groom sits among our vet prices in Dubai.
Dubai is hard on dogs: pavement hot enough to burn paw pads, air conditioning that keeps coats shedding all year, humidity that turns a small mat into a skin problem in days. A groom is also the calmest look anyone gets inside a dog's mouth, so we flag whatever belongs with pet dental care — or with our dog vet in Dubai if it needs a proper look.
Unhurried sessions with breaks when they are needed — gentle with nervous dogs, patient with big ones.
A double coat insulates against heat too. We rake the dead undercoat out instead of clipping it away.
A tick, a hot spot or a sore paw pad found under the fur is seen by a licensed vet the same visit.
From AED 145, set by your dog's weight band — quoted before we start.

I highly recommend this veterinary clinic! They truly care about pets as if they were their own babies. Every time my cats have been sick, the team has always followed up to check on their recovery & see if they needed anything else. That level of care & compassion means so much to me 🤍
I had a wonderful experience at Petbook Veterinary Clinic in Al Quoz with my 9-month-old male Turkish Angora cat, Meiko. A special thank you to Dr. Emad and Miss Charrie for their excellent care, kindness, patience, and professionalism.
I had all three of my cats vaccinated at this clinic, and I couldn't be happier with the service. The veterinarians and staff were very professional, gentle, and caring with my cats, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free.
Every size, every coat
Breed cuts, de-shedding and paw care — one dog at a time, with a vet on site.
Dog grooming starts from AED 145. Size, coat type and how much matting we find decide the rest — and you get the figure before we start, never after.
A full session, sized to your dog rather than to a menu.
From 145 AED
One dog, start to finish. Here is what a full dog grooming session in Dubai covers at Petbook — and you hear about anything unusual before we move on.
We weigh your dog and check the coat, skin, ears and paw pads first — size and condition decide the tools, the time and the quote.
A comb-through finds every knot before water touches it. Wetting a mat tightens it, so anything felted is worked out dry.
Hypoallergenic as standard, medicated when the skin needs it — chosen for your dog, not poured from one bottle all day.
A blow-out lifts the coat, then the dead undercoat comes out by the handful — what actually makes a dog run cooler in a Dubai summer.
The breed-standard clip for Poodles, Schnauzers and Shih Tzus, or a shorter working length — double coats are de-shedded, never shaved.
Nails to a safe length, paw fur trimmed so sand and heat can't pack in, ears cleaned, then a final tick and skin check.

Dogs here live a double life — air conditioning most of the day, then short bursts of heat, humidity and desert dust. A schedule copied from a European breed guide rarely works in Al Quoz.
The ground stays punishing long after sunset in summer. Pads need checking, and paw fur trimming so heat and sand can't pack in.
Indoor climate control removes the light cue behind a normal shedding cycle, so plenty of Dubai dogs shed all twelve months.
A mat holds moisture flat against the skin. In August that damp pocket is where a hot spot starts — tidy to raw in two days.
Short walks and smooth indoor flooring mean almost no natural filing. Nails here need trimming more often than owners expect.
Desert dust works into ear canals and between the pads, and dry air makes it worse. Routine cleaning stops the head-shaking cycle that ends in ear infections.
Huskies, German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers are worse off shaved: the coat regrows patchy and exposed skin can burn.
A cat in the house as well? Long feline coats mat on a different timetable — see cat grooming in Dubai for de-matting, claws and low-stress handling. Hot spots and paw licking that keep coming back between grooms belong to a different list — see dog skin allergy treatment in Dubai.
Puppies can start with a short introduction groom once the first vaccination course is complete — a bath, a blow-dry, a nail trim, nothing more. The point is not the haircut; it is teaching a young dog that the table is boring.
Grooming a sore, infected or burned area makes it worse, and a bath can wash away what a vet needs to see. If you spot any of these, call us first.
Dog grooming at Petbook starts from AED 145 for dogs under 10 kg, AED 165 for 11–20 kg and AED 200 for 21–40 kg. The final figure depends on size, coat type and matting — a Chihuahua bath and a Golden Retriever de-shed are very different jobs. WhatsApp us for a same-day quote.
Watch for a groomer who won't show you the grooming area, won't quote before starting, or reaches for a shave-down on a double coat because it is quicker. Sedation offered casually, without a veterinary examination, is the biggest warning of all — here that call belongs to a licensed vet, never a groomer.
Pet sitting is a different service and we don't quote other people's rates. We can be clear about ours: dog grooming from AED 145 and cat boarding at the clinic at AED 60 per night.
There is no single food that stops itching, and swapping diets before anyone has looked at the skin usually just delays treatment. In Dubai the common causes are fleas, dust and heat-related irritation. Because grooming happens inside our clinic, a vet can examine the skin the same visit — and if it turns out to be one of the common skin allergies, treatment starts before you leave.
