From AED 69 in Al Quoz 3 — a quiet room, slow handling, breaks when your cat asks for them, and a licensed veterinary team in the same building.
Cats are not small dogs, and they should not be groomed like them. Cat grooming in Dubai at Petbook in Al Quoz 3 is built around the cat: a quiet room, no scruffing, breaks whenever one is needed. It sits inside our wider pet grooming service, so a licensed vet is in the same building rather than a referral away.
Sessions start from AED 69, quoted before anything begins. Dubai is a long-coat city — Persians, Himalayans, Ragdolls and Maine Coons fill our waiting room — and those coats need real work, not a rinse and a spray. Compare a groom against the rest of our vet prices in Dubai.
Matting is not a beauty problem. A tight mat pulls on thin cat skin all day, traps moisture against it, and hides fleas, scabs and lumps — the kind of find our cat vet in Dubai would rather catch early. We work mats out gently, and talk you through a lion cut before touching a coat that is past saving. If a booster is due, your cat's annual vaccination is given by our vets in the same clinic.
Towel wraps instead of force, breaks instead of restraint, and a session split in two if that is what it takes.
Cat skin is thin and tears easily. Mats are lifted away from the skin and worked out, never yanked through.
Ear mites, fleas, scabs or a lump found under the coat are examined by a licensed vet the same visit.
From AED 69, and AED 120 for a full groom — quoted before we start.

I highly recommend this veterinary clinic! They truly care about pets as if they were their own babies. Every time my cats have been sick, the team has always followed up to check on their recovery & see if they needed anything else. That level of care & compassion means so much to me 🤍
I had a wonderful experience at Petbook Veterinary Clinic in Al Quoz with my 9-month-old male Turkish Angora cat, Meiko. A special thank you to Dr. Emad and Miss Charrie for their excellent care, kindness, patience, and professionalism.
I had all three of my cats vaccinated at this clinic, and I couldn't be happier with the service. The veterinarians and staff were very professional, gentle, and caring with my cats, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free.
Long coats welcome
Gentle de-matting, claw care and sanitary trims — one cat at a time, with a vet on site.
Cat grooming starts from AED 69. Coat length and the amount of matting decide the rest — and if a coat needs far more work than it first looked, we stop and check with you.
A full session, paced to your cat rather than to the clock.
From 69 AED
One cat at a time, in a room without barking. Here is what a full cat grooming session in Dubai covers at Petbook — and where we stop and check with you rather than pushing on.
Your cat comes out of the carrier in its own time. Nothing starts while a cat is still panicking — the first minute saves ten later.
A comb-through maps every knot before water is involved. Water tightens a mat, so felted areas are dealt with dry, one section at a time.
A gentle, cat-formulated shampoo — never a dog product. Some cats skip the bath and do better with a dry de-shed, and that is a fine outcome.
Cats find loud dryers far more frightening than water. We dry at low heat and low noise, with towel work doing most of the job.
Claws trimmed to a safe length, ears checked and cleaned, and the eye corners wiped — the tear staining flat-faced Persians live with.
A sanitary and paw-pad trim finishes most cats. A lion cut is offered only when a coat is past saving, and we check the skin as it comes off.

Almost every cat here is an indoor cat, living in air conditioning nearly all year. That sounds gentle on a coat, but it removes the two things that keep one in order — a real shedding season, and rough ground.
Persians, Himalayans, Ragdolls and Maine Coons are everywhere in Dubai, and they are exactly the coats that felt rather than tangle.
Without the cues that trigger a normal moult, indoor cats shed all year — so loose hair keeps feeding new knots every month.
A tangle behind the ear that would sit harmlessly elsewhere becomes a solid pad in a few weeks of humidity, pulling with every turn of the head.
No rough ground, no natural filing. Indoor claws overgrow, snag on rugs and cat trees, and in older cats can curl into the pad.
Desert dust gets everywhere and dry conditioned air makes it worse. A routine ear check during a groom catches scratching early.
A cat that sheds all year swallows loose hair all year. Regular de-shedding is the least dramatic way to bring hairballs down.
A dog in the house too? Double coats and paw pads need a completely different approach here — see dog grooming in Dubai for de-shedding, breed cuts and hot-pavement paw care.
Kittens can have a short introduction groom once the first vaccination course is complete — a comb, a claw trim, and being put back down while they are still calm. A cat that learns the table early is a cat you can still groom at twelve.
Some of what looks like a coat problem is a health problem wearing a coat. If you are seeing any of these, call us and we will examine your cat first.
Cat grooming at Petbook starts from AED 69 and a full groom is AED 120. Coat length and the amount of matting decide the rest, and you get the figure before we start rather than after.
In Dubai the answer is usually air conditioning rather than the season. Indoor cats lose the cues that drive a normal moult, so instead of one heavy spring shed they shed all year — and it feels worst in summer, when humidity mats the loose hair before it reaches the floor.
A lot of grooming is normal — cats spend a large part of the waking day cleaning themselves, and it is how they regulate temperature and settle their nerves. It stops being normal when the coat changes: thinning fur, broken hairs, bald strips or skin you can see.
Over-grooming is usually itch, pain or stress, and all three look identical from the sofa. Fleas and skin allergies are the most common causes we see in Dubai. Because grooming happens inside a working clinic, a vet can examine your cat the same visit.
Yes — if you are in Al Quoz, Al Barsha, Business Bay or Jumeirah, Petbook in Al Quoz 3 grooms cats inside the clinic itself. Most cats are groomed fully awake with gentle handling and breaks. For the few that genuinely cannot cope, sedation is only considered after a vet has examined the cat.
